The summer Doruntina spent creating All Star Heaven was spent aboard the Elena of London, a 55m schooner and a masterpiece of old elegance. Slicing through the Mediterranean sea and leaving Doruntina awe-struck and moved by the power and grace of the vessel, she was compelled to capture the experience.

What began as an exploration of technique, silhouette and colour quickly took on a life of its own, becoming a collection of twenty original pieces showcasing Elena  throughout the seasons in different environments. Doruntina created the ‘Eye of the North Star’, a recurring emblem, vividly coloured in scarlet and gold, to anchor the collection thematically. A reminder to honour your passions, to keep your eye on the horizon of what means most to you.

All works are hand-painted in watercolour and acrylics. Further embellishment in fine silver and gold.
