Deep in the midst of working on the All Star Heaven collection, the first spark of an image began to play on my mind. Crystal clear visions of a boat travelling through different seasons danced through my mind relentlessly until I picked up my brush. 

The vision pushed me to question my artistic limits. What began as a personal project, years after I’d felt the desire to put brush to canvas, evolved into a new way to tell stories.

I started with watercolours before playing with the protagonist of the series - a simple sail boat, too bold for the subdued nature of watercolour, called for acrylics and gouache. 

Thick and weighty watercolour paper grounds the velvety mix of materials, while the collection plays with size and perspective from mini portraits to large scale paintings, offered both framed and as rolled canvas.

I believe this work will be an evolving collection, something I will work on throughout my life in different iterations.  Since creating the All Star Heaven works inspiration continues to come to me, drawing me inland to the Mediterranean landscapes, luring me to shore with vivid colours and intricate architecture. 

Images presented as hand painted artworks, with select paintings printed on silk and designed as multi-use neckerchiefs. We look forward to welcoming new additions as we expand into textiles and furnishings.
